TOP FAST GO-TO RUM DRINKS
We all love cocktails, however there is a time and a place, sometimes we just want that go-to drink that requires no preparation, no fancy ingredients or glasses, but delivers big on taste and satisfaction.
More importantly go-to drinks are simple to create don't need recipe cards, we can all make a gin and tonic, so why not try these delicious rum drinks as an alternative. Move over Gin & Tonic.
1. NEPTUNE RUM AND COLA (CUBA LIBRA)
It may have an exotic name, but there is nothing complicated about making the perfect go-to rum and coke. Delicious.
Ingredients
- 60ml Neptune Rum Barbados Gold or Neptune Rum Caribbean Spiced
- 120ml - 180 Good quality cola
- Ice
- Garnish: Lime wedge.
Method
- Pour the rum into a tall glass filled with ice
- Top up with cola
- Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy.
2. NEPTUNE RUM AND GINGER (DARK & STORMY)
Many things disappear into the Bermuda Triangle. But the Rum & Ginger was one thing to come out of it. So simple to make and packed with spice. Exceptional.
Ingredients
- 60ml Neptune Rum Barbados Gold or Neptune Rum Caribbean Spiced
- 120ml ginger beer or ginger ale
- 15ml lime juice (optional)
- Ice
- Garnish: Lime wedge.
Method
- Pour the rum into a tall glass filled with ice
- Top up with ginger beer or ginger ale and optional lime juice
- Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy.
3. NEPTUNE RUM AND TROPICAL SODA (RUM TING)
The combination of a great rum and carbonated topical fruit drink has become a phenomenon in Jamaica and beyond. Tingtastic.
Ingredients
- 25ml Neptune Rum Barbados Gold or Neptune Rum Caribbean Spiced
- Can of carbonated tropical fruit drink
- 15ml lime juice
- Ice
- Garnish: Lime wedge
Method
- Pour the rum into a tall glass filled with ice
- Top up with topical fruit drink
- Add a squeeze of lime
- Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy.
4.NEPTUNE RUM AND PINEAPPLE JUICE
Amazingly simple, but utterly delicious. Rum and pineapple juice is a match made in heaven and a quick go-to.
Ingredients
- 60ml - 90ml Neptune Rum Barbados Gold or Neptune Rum Caribbean Spiced
- 120 ml chilled pineapple juice
- Splash of soda water
- Ice
- Garnish: Pineapple chunk (optional).
Method
- Pour the rum into a tall glass filled with ice
- Top up with pineapple juice and a splash of soda water
- Garnish with pineapple (If your feeling fancy).
